Client’s Challenge

The CEO of a fast growth technology-based firm knew he did not have the optimal recruitment infrastructure to sustain the organization's aggressive growth goals. After reviewing the previous year investments with the outsourced talent partner, along with the critical growth goals, the solution was clear.  We designed a new role for the business – VP of Talent Acquisition & Talent Development.  We in-sourced the function and broadened it to include leading internal talent development.  We also decided to complete talent sourcing and pipelining for key roles, expediting success when the new VP came aboard.

Outcome

Together, Talent Growth and the executive team crystallized a new way forward for the business.  This vision aligned the business strategy and goals with it's people strategy.  We helped them implement the new vision by hiring a VP of Talent within 30 days, along with developing research and sourcing to build a pool of targeted potential future hires (which the VP could leverage once on board). In the end, the business is tracking at 25% growth over last year.  As indicated by the quote below, the business would either be flat or deteriorating had they not taken the steps to align the people strategy with the business strategy.
